Come to Mama!

Well, with very little begging I am getting the birthday present that I REALLY wanted!

Isn't it beautiful? Now, the only problem is that I can't take it with me in the trailer! July 11th is going to be a great day!

The Next Apron Swap!

Starting July 14th, you can sign up for the Fall Apron Swap at Sassy Apron Swap. Be there or be square (am I showing my age or what?). The theme is fall and pies will be involved. I can't wait!

And sooner or later I will get a picture of the apron that I received for the Summer Apron Swap! I promise.

June Sewing? I Think Not!

Just wanted to let y'all know that while my mind has been on my sewing projects and what I wanted to do for a summer wardrobe, none of it has been accomplished.

We have had camp, camp, and even more camp. The first week of June, we had Church Youth Camp. This is the first time in 5 years that Rachael and I did not go, just Hannah. Cody had his first week off in 3 months and it happened to be that week. R and I stayed home with him. I rarely get a chance to sew while Cody is at home and this was no exception. Hannah came home on a Friday night and on Sunday, I packed her up to go to Girl Scout Resident Camp. Horse riding, swimming, dancing, singing. What fun! Unfortunately, I spent the entire week trying to entertain a 5 yo that missed her sister. The third week consisted of me spending an hour driving Rachael to Girl Scout Day Camp, . Then, driving 45 miles SW to take Hannah to sewing lessons. After sewing lessons were finished, back to camp to help in anyway possible, and then driving home. We left the house at 7a and usually arrived home at 6p. Just enough time to feed the animals, eat dinner, take baths and go to bed.

So, what about the last week of June? I did get a skirt and knit shirt made. I don't have a picture of it yet, hopefully soon. The girls and I are back in the travel trailer with Cody for the summer and I did not bring my machines with me. I am s-l-o-w-l-y going crazy without them and will definitely bring them back with me next week when I go home to mow the yard and get the mail.
